Where are these desiccant pellets or materiel you may ask?

You cannot see these because they are inside the spacer bars the glass panes are adhered to with semi-permeable seals. The spacer bars are filled or imbedded, depending on the type of spacer bars used, with desiccant pellets or materiel.

Why are semi-permeable seals used in the assembly of thermal glass units?

Part 2: Semi-permeable seals allow air and gas under high pressure to escape through the seals without damaging the seals, thus releasing the pressure between the panes preventing the glass from blowing out.

Why are semi-permeable seals used in the assembly of thermal glass units?

Part 1: If hermetic seals were used, which are completely air-tight, the glass could blow out when the sun beats on the window on a hot summer day and heats the air or gas between the panes. When heated up, gas and air expand thus greatly increasing the pressure between the panes.
